The Health and Pollution Fund (HPF), formerly known as the Global Pollution Remediation Fund (GPRF), was launched in principle in October, 2007 at a conference attended by representatives from government agencies of the United States, Germany, China, Russia, Mozambique, Kenya, and the Philippines.
